Design & Layout

We help you define what you need from your home, and then our knowledgeable and precise designers create a layout that is structurally sound and complies with local regulations. Have one-on-one meetings with our draftsperson and designer to create the ideal custom home or renovation. As the work progresses, we address: Elevation, Rough selection of materials, Windows, Electrical layout, Sections, Construction details, Additional details as needed

We work hand in hand with you using our 3D rendering program. Our designs come to life on the screen, showing you the flow between rooms as you move through the property. You get a true sense of what your home will look like in real life, and see first-hand the details of your design through every step of the process.

Permit Management

Our experienced team walks you through applying for the relevant permits and licenses. Feel confident in your renovation or construction plans knowing that all the legal steps have been taken. If you bring your own plans, we examine the drawings to ensure they comply with the BC Building Code, ensuring there are no delays or costly fixes from noncompliant plans.

Put simply, design comes before drafting. Design involves talking to the client, creating sketches and 3D models, refining the concept, and creating a layout. Drafting comes once the design is set, and it’s a technical process that creates a detailed technical drawing that shows how the builder should proceed.
